I’ve got a whole day of food pics today. I’m going to start with dinner and go backwards. As promised in my last post, here is a pic of my new microplane! I used it not one, but two days in a row. Yesterday to grate ginger root, and today to zest a lemon.
For dinner, I used a recipe that I randomly stumbled upon while surfing foodbuzz.com, on another food blog, Cordon Pink, for “Lightened Up Orange Chicken.” I made the sauce for the chicken using orange juice and corn starch mixed together, and then added rice vinegar, white sugar, soy sauce, lemon zest, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. This sauce was poured over bite sauce chunks of chicken breast, which were seasoned and lightly floured, and browned up in a skillet. I served the saucy chicken over broccoli and brown rice, and poured a few more spoonfuls of sauce over each plate after taking this picture, for good measure! That sauce had a punch!
My lunch was uber-colorful today, so I had to take a picture. On the left is a Kashi frozen whole wheat pasta dish (Pesto Pasta Primavera) with various veggies and a garlic-y pesto sauce. Full of fiber and protein. Yum!
Breakfast was awfully colorful as well. Trader Joe’s English Breakfast Tea and sprinkly donut. Yum!
The only unpictured eats from today are a pepper jack cheese stick and a couple little noms of a fritter.

Glad you liked the recipe!! You have a very cute blog!
