Confession: I am watching the third season premiere of Jersey Shore as I type this. Right before I hit “publish,” I entered in the following title:
“Mozzarella-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies"
Clearly, I was a bit distracted by Snooki’s poof. So I just corrected the title and re-published. Opps!
Tonight I made Mozzarella-Stuffed Turkey Burgers.
Earlier this week I tried my first recipe from the EatingWell website for Leek, Potato, & Spinach Stew and it was delicious! I’m sorry to say that tonight’s recipe did not live up to the stew. It just wasn’t that great. I won’t bother spending much time telling you about the recipe because I don’t really recommend it, but if you want to check it out, click here to see the recipe. I’d probably rate these 4/10.
Mozzarella-Stuffed Turkey Burger:
I ate my whole burger, but it wasn’t the most delicious. Luckily I had a side of gnocchi to go with it.
Since dinner didn’t do a whole lot to please my taste buds, and since I was having major chocolate cravings today (partially remedied by M&Ms earlier in the day! ), I whipped up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. I actually made 1/4 of a batch of cookies, following this recipe. I made a small batch for two reason: 1) I certainly don’t need a whole batch of cookies in my house – dangerous!; 2) I only had 1/2 cup of chocolate chips on hand.
After mixing up the dough, I called upstairs to the hub (poor guy is sick!) to give him a beater to lick, but he was too preoccupied with WoW to come get it. Oh well! More for me! Ya snooze, ya lose, SUCKAH!
It made eight big ones.
Oh yeah baby. Also note my shiny new cookie sheets and tiered cooling racks – Christmas gifts!
Today I had two less-than-pleasant situations (1. Dealing with
an ass a jerk earlier today & 2. Not very tasty dinner recipe) and both were remedied by chocolate. Score.
