Panini! Yesterday I tried lunch at Great Harvest Bread. I figure, as delicious as their bread is, their sandwiches must be good. I was right! I ordered:
“Pesto and Mozzarella
Fresh mozzarella, tomato & pesto on Golden Wheat focaccia”
This side salad was a steal at only $3.25! There was actually a large portion of baby greens packed beneath all the goodies – loved this.
Fresh greens topped with cucumbers, tomatoes, banana peppers, onions, golden raisins & sliced almonds”
After work, I met Five Cent Femme downtown, where movie filming set-prep was taking place. The movie Five Year Engagement, starring Emily Blunt (she is adorbs – especially in the movie Sunshine Cleaning) and Jason Segal, is being filmed in Ann Arbor.
There was a big snow machine blowing fake snow on the trees in Liberty Square, and all the curbs had large snowy embankments. Yes it’s June – yes it’s about 70 degrees outside! So weird:
I also want to take this opportunity to point out that Five Cent Femme has not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR air fresheners in her car. Yet her car still managed to smell like semi-spoiled bananas.
After we walked around the Mayor’s Green Fair downtown for a while, we had a light dinner and drinks at Bar Louie. I ordered this Pear & Blue Cheese Salad, which was surprisingly tasty – tons of pecans on top, enjoyed with a glass of Cabernet (x2).
The movie filming was taking place directly across from Bar Louie, and looked quite pretty after dinner:
Well, turns out dinner did not satiate my hungry, because I was STARVING later, which resulted in an iHop-pancakenombinge at 2:30 AM! (Whipped cream was promptly removed, however.) Yesssssss.
Today I had a 2 mile run, baked some brownies (will blog these soon!), and will soon be driving north to my Aunt’s house for a family gathering. Tonight is The Bang! Busy day!
