Straight Chillin’ Upnorth

We just returned from a uber-refreshing weekend upnorth (aka, Northern Michigan, for you non-Michiganders). Winking smile

Natch, lots of food was involved! This is always true of the best vacations!

A whole, nearly 13-pound turkey was cooked on the grill. Super smoky and delicious, with yummy crisp skin.

A gorgeous, warm, sunny afternoon was spent at North Higgins Lake State Park. As I said in my last post, Michigan has the most gorgeous lakes and beaches!

My dad was on dog duty for a while while the rest of us were down at the lake. Daisy was not allowed on the sandy beach side of the pathway at the park, and apparently the park rangers are pretty strict here.
