This week we had all sorts of delicious items in our CSA Box:
- corn
- tatsoi greens
- yellow beans
- broccoli
- eggplant
- roma tomatoes
- cantaloupe
Cutting into this melon was like slicing into a stick of buttah! Oh my word, it smelled delicious! And tasted even better.
BBQ Chicken and Blue Cheese Pizza
Recipe from Cooking Light
…Started with a pre-baked Boboli Whole Wheat Thin Crust topped with about 1/3-1/2 cup of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce.
Next I topped the sauce with cooked, shredded chicken breast, sliced red onion, yellow bell pepper, and diced roma tomatoes.
A 1/2 cup sprinkle of blue cheese was the final ingredient added before baking at 450 F for 10 minutes.
BBQ Chicken and corn go together, right!? Mmm, this pizza was great! So bright and summery!
I kind of want to make this my computer desktop background. Look at that browned chunk of blue cheese in the upper left. Swoon.
Friday evening’s dinner session was somewhat of an Ann Arbor Washington Street Foodie Tour, involving:
- Grizzly Peak beers + Cheddar Ale Soup <—dabezt!
- Frita Batidos Crab Sandwich (the crab was incredible but the brioche buns were sold out, so it was served on this dryer, firmer bread which was not nearly as tasty)
- San Street sticky bun at Mark’s Carts
Tonight I am going to see Tickled Fancy perform! ..Excited.
The BBQ chicken pizza looked tasty. I have a recipe for fried eggplant if you are interested ? ! MOM
