It’s that time of year – time for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival!
Before heading down to the Top of the Park on Friday evening, a
pit rooftop stop was made at the Palio Del Sole. Atop Palio’s rooftop, overlooking Main Street, we enjoyed Happy Hour specials, including this tapenade trio, prepared with fresh herbs from Palio’s onsite herb garden. My favorite spread was the Goat Cheese with Sundried Tomatoes!
Then, we walked down to the Top of the Park!
Could you ask for a more perfect evening? Mmm, summer.
We plopped ourselves down into the grass and nommed on a pair of Wolverine Dogs from the Ray’s Red Hots stand.
For me: sweet relish, onions, spicy mustard, and Sriracha.
We lounged in the grass and listened to a couple different bands play.
Of course we hit up the beer garden for some beverages, also.
I love eating my dinners in courses. A while later, we went back for a second course, not being satiated on one hot dog. This time around, the huz tried Satchel’s Soul on a Roll plate, with a BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. Satchel’s is the best!
I wasn’t a huge fan of the Paneer Wrap I had, so, after a few bites (I know, I hate wasting food, but hey),…
I went for a slice of Pizza House ‘za instead. Much better.

The Ann Arbor Summer Festival runs from June 14 – July 7, 2013, so you still have plenty of time to check it out this year.
