What I’ve Been Nomming Lately // September 7, 2014 Edition

Well hello there. How are things? Things are okay here. Having a nice Sunday. Just got back from a sweaty five mile trail run – new PR and ALMOST met my running goal of the year (to run five miles of trails in the arb in under 60 minutes – today I did it in 61:45.) Soon.

Before my run, I fueled up with a delicious breakfast at Nick’s. The Ann Arbor-Saline Rd construction in town has veered us away from Nick’s all summer, and it was great to be back now that the road is clear!

I just baked a batch of these tasty Toasted Coconut Chocolate Chunk Cookies. They are so chewy and buttery!

And now here I am writing this post! Here’s what I’ve been nomming the last couple of weeks. You may notice the first several meals are nice, soft foods. The huz recently had his wisdom teeth extracted and as a result, I tried my best to prepare him some easy-to-eat foods. Below are my dinners, to which I may have added some greens or something, while the ‘patient’ stuck to the soft foods. Without further ado…

    • Thank you so much for the compliment! 🙂 Soups are my favorite thing to cook so I am very glad you enjoy seeing them! I really appreciate your feedback on the format, as I’ve been debating the best way to move forward over the past several weeks and months. I’ve tried to move toward featuring only “the best of the best” recipes that I try, and that are also (hopefully) the more interesting to see/read/learn about… quality over quantity, if you will.. and supplement with these bi-weekly posts. I am glad to see you enjoy the summary!
